Broadtree
April 18th- June 8th on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
What is it?If you work with teens who you would like to involve in our programs and if you would like to spend an afternoon after-school kayaking or sailing with them then Taste of Broadtree is for you!
Bring 10-15 teens and you will give them a chance to get a flavor of what they will do in our programs during the summer. This program acquaints them with our staff and our activities which can be a bit overwhelming if they have never done anything like them before and since 100% of our participants have never done the majority of our activities, we have found that this works well!
Where does it take place?You and your teens will sail downtown on Lake Michigan out of DuSable Harbor at Randolph and Lake Shore Dr.
Who participates?Each groupmustbe comprised two adults and 10-15 teens ages 12-18.
How much does it cost?You are required to put down a $50 deposit which will be returned as long as you show up on the day you’ve chosen. This is only a way to insure that groups commit to the dates they have chosen.
Who provides transportation?If you already have access to transportation we ask that you drive your youth to the designated site but if you do not, we will provide transportation.
